First Simcoe COVID-19 case confirmed - Muskoka Post

The 59th and latest person confirmed with COVID-19 in Ontario was diagnosed in Simcoe.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit said a man in his 40s who recently returned from Germany and Spain is self-isolating and recovering at home.

The man was tested at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Monday, March 9. 

The health unit says the hospital took all necessary infection and control measures for COVID-19.
